When do I need a visa for Lebanon?
Swedish citizens can obtain a free tourist visa upon arrival at Beirut-Rafic Hariri International Airport or other approved border crossings. The visa is valid for tourist, family and short business visits and allows a stay of up to 30 days. Under certain conditions, the stay can be extended with the Lebanese immigration authorities. The traveler must, among other things, be able to present a valid passport, a return ticket or onward ticket, an address in Lebanon and must not have Israeli stamps or visas in the passport.
If you plan to work, study or stay longer than the permitted period, you need to apply for the correct visa before departure. The final decision on entry is always taken by the Lebanese immigration authorities at border control.
Note: The above information applies to Swedish passport holders. Other nationalities may have different requirements. Some travelers may need to apply for a visa in advance or provide additional documents when applying.
